The king of the kill for floppy based installs is 'Novell NetWare 2.x'.

20+ disks in and out and 2 writable boot disks swapped every 30-60 seconds for an hour or more.

The boot disks are unique, but I think 50 (actual number) is a good bit more than 20. Both sound really miserable, but how many PCs did you have to install NetWare on?

I installed 10 or 15. Yes, the boot disks are unique, prior to NW 3.X with NLM where you could switch the drivers once booted you had to rebuild the boot disks whenever you changed a card and needed a new driver bound into the boot binaries. What a nightmare.

Then V3.X came along and you could dynamically load drivers and other NLMs whole system was running, what a leap forward that was.

It's not satire it's sarcasm but yeah people on Reddit don't even question if a comment is serious. I think about half the time somebody replies to me, they've only read the first sentence of my comment or just a few random words and reply to that, fucking infuriating.
