I am a sysadm also, and I use Firefox with ad blockers and DNS filtering. Very occasionally, I'll hit a site that has trouble with my configuration. When I do, I switch to Brave. I never use Chrome or Edge, they are the same base code I believe. MS had so many attacks from hackers that they gave up on Internet Explorer and bought the license to use Chrome base code. I pretty sure that I remember reading that somewhere. Anything Google is going to have has a lot of tracking stuff in it, that is how Google makes most of it's money. By sell what you look for and where you go on the Internet. Just recently, they have gotten even more intense in their methods.
