What time do you guys wake up?

I get up around 5. I could see myself starting and ending my day even earlier as I get older and I am able to retire. I was a notorious late sleeper most of my life, so the fact I’m a bit of an early bird these days doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

It's my 49th birthday, and I don't care.

Gen X has Seen the Rise and Evolution of the Video Game, How many of you still play new Games And what was the First game you remember playing?

I remember playing a game called Jumpman and California Games (I think) on the Commodore 64. I tried to play every Atari game and Bezerker and River Raid stand out. I remember playing Bases Loaded on Nintendo a lot and scaring my dad with all my rage. The SEGA days were peak. I stopped playing after high school, but picked it back up during covid. I now own a gaming pc and a ridiculous monitor. I appreciate my games for different reasons but I love masterpieces like Elden Ring and Dysco Elysium and hold the people who make those games in high regard.

Does anyone else feel embarrassed for the young'uns wearing socks with sandals?

It is shittyfoodporn but everybody big mad because people in rehab just gotta be thankful for anything!!!!!! You can be thankful for the rehab and the shitty food and still make fun of it. It’s like a coping mechanism. Helps people get through life, but I admire y’all’s stoicism.

Never had kids, still feel like I have a youthful worldview. Anyone relate?

I feel like I haven't matured in the same ways I would have if I had kids. I have a career, but I'm more interested in snacking. I tell my friends, “I'm only 46 and already have a PS5 and an Xbox.” I collect sneakers. Take a lot of naps. People often think I'm younger than I am. Married. 4 dogs. Happy wife. No regrets. I occasionally daydream about fatherhood.

How many people on here are actually Xennials (born 1977-83)? Just curious because sometimes it seems like just as many comments come from people outside the cohort as within.
