1pass gives the free families account for each employee. That can be considered an HR benefit. But it'll run you about $60/year per person.

They were the main player a decade ago. It ticked all the boxes and was end user friendly and came at a reasonable cost. They never really jacked their prices up over the years which I respect, and that likely helps them retain existing customers. It works well enough at this point and is like old reliable, you expect it to be there in 5 years without any major surprises. That makes it not very desirable to consider alternatives. Further cool, they allow you to upload your own LMS content, so our HR team leverages it to save a lot on not needing their own LMS.

I have a sub pump with a secondary backup pump and connected to a battery. The home has a generac generator also. If needed, I have solar generators and a portable honda I could plug the pumps into if the generac fails.

Should I still prep for my family to come stay with me in an emergency, even if they are saying they would stay at home?

I have starlink for camping and plan to use it if regular lines go down, but I fear it may become saturated and unusable. I recently got a prepper disk and think it could be really useful, though admittedly you could make your own for much less if your willing to put the time into it. Im not sure what else we can really do besides having a land based ISP, cellular, and starlink. When the ISPs running the backbone are impacted things are just down.

Change your approach and reasoning. "We use 5 jars of tomato sauce per month. 60 per year. If we buy and stock up on the sauce when its on sale $1 off per jar we can essentially pay for our cell phone bill for the month. If we do this for other items that we frequently use, the savings is in the 1000s per year."

But then they easily bunch up in the bottom and dont get emptied by the truck. If I flatten them and place them next to the recycling bin the trash truck picks them up instead.

Do you guys get detention on the weekends?

Posted by merkle_987@reddit | AskAnAmerican | View on Reddit | 317 comments

c3corvette@reddit

We had two things but they were essentially the same. Detention was sitting after school for 30 or 60 minutes extra for doing something disobedient. The other i cant remember what they called it, but it was detention for not doing homework and you had to stay and complete the assignment afterschool.

When my grandparents immigrated from Europe many years back they bought a tavern with an apartment above. The family lived and worked there. Eventually they bought property elsewhere to live but the kids kept living and working there until they could afford to so the same themselves. Solid plan for your family.
