My mom heard I was being bullied in 6th grade. She saw the girl on the playground bullying another kid after school when she was there to pick me up. She jumped out of the car and ran up to the girl and told her if she ever messed with me again, she would come after her herself. At the time I was petrified, I was hiding down on the floorboard of the car scared to death of what my bully would do to me the next day. She did nothing. She never messed with me again! It’s still one of my greatest memories I have of my mom growing up.

Anyone else’s husband getting sappier in our ‘old age’?

I understand that I’m not personally responsible since I didn’t consign for anything. My concern is that the cc companies will file a lien on her home which my dad paid off for her before he died.

I just signed my mother up for Lifelock after her cards keep getting hacked. I saw that she has 30k in credit card debt. Guess who gets to deal with this when she’s gone? She has no idea that I know. I made the comment to her that you know any debt you acquire during your life will fall to me when you die, If you don’t pay it off first. She said yeah that is what my life insurance is for. She has an extreme shopping habit. She’s 76.

My grandparents were awesome. My Grandma remarried and he treated me just like his own where my actual grandpa never contacted me or my mother. They would stock their fridge with popsicles for my weekend visits and even bought me an old bike to ride around their tiny town. We’d go to eat at the American Legion and stay up late watching TV. Just the 3 of us. I miss them everyday!

That’s the horrible thing about dementia. In order to be approved for a end of life drug, you have to be mentally capable of making that decision and be able to self administer the drug. It’s such a horrible disease.

Just got my second shingles vaccine. Could use some sympathy.

Turned 50, got braces and lost 40 pounds! I’m fitting into the same size I wore in high school. Had my first grandchild and realized I want to be healthy and around to see him grow up.
