I did it once because my suitcase was broken because of falling off the stairs at the hotel while leaving for the airport. ( it was our mistake) I had no time to buy a new one, so I paid for my broken case to be wrapped and it travelled safely from Malaysia to the UK intact.

Nooo not the a340 300 :(

their capital city used to be on a separate island while the remaining country was on african mainland, weird way to work. Now they have built a new city inside the mainland as a capital

Imagine this actually happens, would the U.S invade?

Its one thing to say something and other to follow through. I expect Turkey to follow through something they say but none of the European countries gave balls to say NO to the masters - Norway is small in the grand scheme of things. Turkey was the only country that actually ended up shooting down the Russian jet - every other country in Europe meanwhile issues a statement condemning the incursion

Cathay Pacific flight CX883 endures 11 hour layover with no passengers allowed to get off plane

Cathay Pacific has gone downhill since covid hit. I remember sitting like this on the tarmac for 4 nightmarish hours at Hong Kong airport and denied anything to drink. I didn’t understand the whole situation but some mainland Chinese people were severely discriminated against also. Cathay Pacific is known to have very racist cabin crew so none of this is surprising anymore (sadly)

Try being in my position when you are carrying expensive equipments that you can’t afford to replace and a history of our employees getting roughed up. You will have a situation where things like this happen sometimes. I am not proud of this though- I was 27 back then and maybe adrenaline got better of me. Maybe you would have reacted more maturely also it wasn’t beating the pulp out of him as you imagine but yes there was a scuffle and he was beaten. Not proud and since then our company started insuring the equipments we carry because the incidents like our employees getting targeted has increased dramatically.

We stayed in a nice swanky hotel in Paris. Went there for work so the work was paying. And we were a group of 8 people in 5 rooms. I was sharing the room with a colleague. One of my colleagues sent a WhatsApp that someone tried to enter their room with a key and it was a scary experience. They complained to the reception and got a weak apology for a mixup. We were prepared if anything like that happens to us. Lucky for us, reception did the mistake again and a dude in his early 20s tried to enter our room. We nabbed him by bedsheet and gave a solid beating lol. We called the police and it was a full chaos. The guy kept asking us to let him go- we checked with our colleague and she confirmed it was the same dude. We informed reception about it and the police came and took the guy. It was funny because the reception clearly knew what was happening and had to make faces and apologise. We got upgraded to two single occupancy after that. My colleague still has his tooth preserved somewhere which came loose due to our blind beating. Thankfully it wasn’t a minor and he wasn’t armed.

Indian illegal immigrants are crossing into the USA unfortunately. Although they are not illegal in Canada, they do become illegal by entering the USA. God knows what's happening

Because they went through uncontrolled immigration, literally the bottom of the barrel went to Canada and obviously causing the same problems they were causing back home. Next door is USA and it has more immigration than Canada from non Muslims from India and see how they flourish and how US benefits, all because US was and still is smart enough to go through controlled immigration. Canada also needs to sign the same agreement with India as US has where they routinely deport the illegal immigrants back to India whereas in Canada, they claim asylum and get to stay.

Umm no , this is a tweet The touching feet thing is an Indian tradition of giving respect to the elders. Also that guy is named Ratan Tata but is no longer associated with Tata, also he isn't the owner. The Tata group is run by a trust that chooses the chairman themselves. Nowhere this proves that he is mates with That's owner. As much as I hate his father in law and his company, this tweet is B.S

What's your most British excuse for being late, and how well does it work?

I remember one colleague's reasoning for being late - "Sorry but my house burned down and couldn't find the office laptop in the wreckage". It was shocking but part of his house indeed burned and we all felt bad for doubting his story lol.

People who immigrated in recent years, is the UK everything you dreamed of?

So I moved to the UK from India in 2018. This is exactly how I imagined it and I did not have any sky-high expectations either. I wanted to work hard, raise my family and not to worry about being ignored for the opportunities for the reasons outside my control. I feel like I have been given great opportunities here which is in line with the amount of hard work I have invested into the country. I had the opportunity to study and work in India before moving here so I am in a comfortable position to make the judgement about the work and life itself. I was not seeking money but rather a proper work-life balance and not to find myself complaining everyday on the work I do. Now, thanks to this country - I have received immense love and opportunities and I am thriving. I enjoy my work-life balance and also the freedom to do a lot of things without worrying about getting judged constantly by the society we live in. India can be considered a 3rd world country although my complaints were more on the culture aspects and things I couldn't change. I have applied for naturalization and will become British citizen soon. Since India does not allow dual citizenship, British citizenship will be the only one I will have. But no regrets, I had no extended family here but seems like this is what I was seeking. Will always be thankful to every opportunity I got. Also, I have learned to complain on the weather and tea flows in my blood anyway. Found my partner here and planning to raise my kids here . This is it, I couldn't have asked for more.
