As far as I know, the only authority that can take your grandmother's license are: Police or her GP. I would consider GP. Have her checked for dementia or something. If she cannot find her way out of public toilets etc, that's a major concern, etc.

Hello! not in the same situation like you regarding wife, and kids. But a few months ago my social life went from 50 percent to zero. My best advice, watch youtubes, play some games that you like? I am in my 30s so not quite old but soon old. Time flies the older you get, hehe. If you quit drinking, good on you mate! I sometimes nip down to me local pub for a pint, but the prices now are so disgusting that I am rather sat at home. Maybe you should take up a hobby that you had when you were younger? Did you play any instruments perhaps? collected stuff or went on hikes?
