Just built a new $5500 dollar system with water cooled CPU,, and the thing blasts heat like a furnace. I also have it hooked up to a 60" high rez TV,, that pumps out heat to.. And if I didn't have the AC running it would cook my bedroom. You should add a portable AC unit to your room or a window unit, I am 72 now and have watched the advancement of computers now for decades .. from something that didn't even need cooling ,, to where we are now. You apsolutly need AC,, and it's only going to get worse. But damn the graphics are insane,, almost 300 hours into STALKER 2..

Comfortable chair under $200

Posted by Excellent-Cycle8950@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 5 comments

State_Dear@reddit

THE TRUTH,, age 72 here,, decades of serious back pain and multiple surgeries, so I have experience in this area. NEVER purchase a chair etc, unless you have actually sat it in for a period of time. I mean more then a few minutes. Backs / spines are all different and what works for one person, will not work for another. You need more then a few minutes to ,, to let your spine settle. My experience is also,. comfort costs,,

age 72 and just finished building a top end computer.. If it got any easier,, you could do it blind folded. Over the decades they have simplified the process so much, everything basically just snaps together.

State_Dear@reddit

Now that's a good question,,, Used my old BE QUIET case for my new build. Top of the line everything,, artic 3 cooler ..1600 watt power supply,, all the bells and whistles,, AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core Processor XFX Speedster MERC310 AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX Black Gaming Graphics Card  ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero AMD X870E AM5 ATX Motherboard Blah. Blah, blah.. Ran great for about 12 days ,,, then BOOM. My home has central AC and it runs constantly, southern Florida .. and a tiled floor. Can't say for sure what triggered it,, but it made a hell of a Boom. Haven't purchased a new case yet,, just using it without a side panel. Everything runs great ,,

State_Dear@reddit

Mine EXPLODED last week,,, all over the bedroom,, It was a loud boom and a incredible mess. Turns out temperature fluctuations can stress the glass and shatter it, I will never buy a glass panel PC again after that mess.

State_Dear@reddit

eBay,,, go there and look for your parts to establish a price. To sell it quickly you should probably sell for less then others. Review the shipping charges, the packing materials and tape you may have to buy to ship your items. And your labor,, driving down to the UPS or Post Office etc then see if it's worth doing it,,

Something to think about,,, Tarrifs are driving PC parts up pretty much daily. The supply of pre- Tarrif inventory is almost gone and after that it's going to be very difficult to afford a new PC, I decided to pull the trigger and just built my dream PC and it was friggin exspencive and the parts I used have already gone up in price, So you may want to consider pulling the trigger now, rather then later,,
