Apologies, I realise my post makes me sound like a horrible person!
I'm in a wheelchair and live alone in not the greatest location, so genuinely am fearful of letting people I don't know in.
I wouldn't let a non-uniformed member of the public in unless I was absolutely confident they were not a threat.
Once I realised this officer was genuinely in distress I let her in.
