Can't say I'm too surprised that Jordan Catalano ended up being a creep who climbs the Empire State building to promote his rock band.

Pauly Shore has the exact same voice. Corey Feldman is...Corey Feldman. Says he was supposed to have played Brendan Frasier's role in Encino Man.

I watched Pepper Ann well into high school, probably the last Saturday morning cartoon I watched regularly. Fun fact: Pepper Ann was the first Disney animated television series to be created by a woman. It's why she was such a unique representation of girlhood.

I got curious as to why I remember the exact lyrics to childhood shows I haven't watched in 30 years. Apparently there's a science to it!

Queer Xennies: What cultural figures, productions, or moments do you associate with your 90s baby-queer awakening? For me, Angelina in Gia started it all.

Twitter thread about the history of Abercrombie & Fitch. Now I see why I always associated the brand with the most racist, asshole jocks in school. Apparently in the 90s they refused to hire a Muslim teen because her hijab did not fit the brand's look. She took it to the Supreme Court and won.

The Jetsons meet The Flintstones for the first time! ~~~ Whenever people from different parts of my life meet, I always say, "Jetsons meet the Flintstones!" And *no one* ever gets the reference. Anyone here still think of this movie regularly? We had it on VHS.

1989/90 Time Capsule. Bart phone (no working line); TWO Teddy Ruxpins (the broken OG and the replacement I never emotionally accepted); a peek of MJF's Back to the Future II jacket over the desk. Funny to think 2-3 years later my room was plastered with Eddie/Kurt/Circus/Spin Mag clippings instead.

1989/90 Time Capsule. Please note the Bart phone with no working line. And the TWO Teddy Ruxpins: the original that broke, and the new one my mom got me because I was so devastated. The new one couldn't emotionally replace the OG so it got put on the shelf and OG was still my bedtime buddy.

"An American Tail" came up in a post yesterday. Made me google "Somewhere out there" for nostalgia's sake. Turns our there was a Linda Ronstadt/James Ingram version on the soundtrack?!? Very nice. Of course nothing lives up to Fievel's squeaky little version (posted in comments).

"An American Tail" came up in a post yesterday. Made me google the song for nostalgia's sake. Turns out there's a Linda Rondstadt/James Ingram version on the soundtrack??! One of the greatest Rock Divas in history is good. But doesn't really live up to Fievel's cute sqeaky lil version.

97-yo Dick Van Dyke singing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious with voice coach. I learned this song, via those sing-along VHS tapes, while learning English and felt so proud for learning such a complicated word, cause I thought it was a real word! [Sorry phone broke so couldn't do screen record]

Any Riot Grrrrls in the crowd?! Seattle's remembered as the birthplace of the Grunge Guys, but the Grrrls and Queercore were on heavy rotation in my mid-90s boombox. Back in the days when you ordered zines and cd's by mail to feel less alone in your feminism/punkness/artsiness/anger/baby-queerness.

I did the talent show to "Do The Bartman." I was lead choreographer, director, and Bart. We won 2nd place, losing only to two girls doing that dumb Paula Abdul duet with the cat (still can't hear it without feeling bitter about the loss). What did you lipsync and Roger-Rabbit to for the talent show?
