You can’t making gross generalised statements like ‘the majority of people’ and then anecdote that with your own personal experience like it’s true for everyone. I know plenty of ‘stoners’ who don’t lack drive or motivation.

“Free parking for customers only” - how do they monitor this?

Yep, think you’re spot on there. Reckon it’s luck of the draw a lot of the time really and more likely they just have wardens on some days, most likely mornings, to catch the obvious ones. They probably make enough that way to keep everyone happy. There’s an absolute menace of a ticket warden I see out almost daily around both old and new town, I’ve actually grown quite an affinity towards him after I cheekily parked up behind the shopping centre in new town to grab something from inside. As I came out, not to my surprise, he was there clocking my car but without any words exchanged I drove off and I never received a ticket. He must have been feeling nice, in fact, he even directed me away due to some small congestion.

So, for example Stevenage has a car park with the same message. I parked in that car park and caught a train to London, and assumed there were some camera system monitoring the car park as you describe so I stopped at McDonald’s for a coffee on the way back to my car. Did I just get lucky, or did I play the system?

Is Costa Coffee’s frappe now made entirely with instant coffee?

Gregg’s coffee tastes like pure shite to me, and pales in comparison to any other high street coffee available. There’s something about it which just turns me off. Obviously your of different opinion, and that’s fine. I don’t hold high standards, I enjoy McDonald’s coffee with the price in mind. But, I won’t go near Gregg’s for one. Everyone’s different, someone above thinks Pret is the worst of the bunch, for me, out of the high street chains Pret is my favourite. Different boats and floats and all that.

Pret and Costa do not compare. Pret has to be the best of a bad bunch in terms of high street coffee. Gregg’s on the other hand. Tastes like burnt toilet water.

People who get to work early why do you do it?

Your coworkers are correct. Working unpaid, even though you state you don’t, you do? As well as the fact that all that time adds up. I’d honestly have more respect for myself than giving the company potential a few hours of unpaid work each week, which could potentially add up to a full days extra work a month, unpaid. Companies love people like you.

Ha! I should do. No, I’ve been living here for 3 years and have travelled to many a towns which are a dive in comparison to Stevenage. Its negative reputation isn’t justified.

Spot on, the town centre is in desperate need of a revamp but apart from that there are plentiful green spaces in the town, cycling lanes everywhere and plenty to get on and do. I see Stevenage often voted one of the worst places to live in the UK, and I always think that those voting can't be very well travelled.

Pretty good is a stretch in my opinion, in fact, apart from the fact it's cheap when bought with a Bacon Roll, there isn't too much good about it. Maccie's in comparison is a big improvement, much tastier and cheaper.

Maccie's isn't too bad considering the price, in comparison to other on the go coffee shops and beats Costa and Greggs ten fold on flavour.

Agreed, weird response to say that statistically weight will be put back on. Of course that’s going to happen if said person reverts back to what they were doing before and don’t continue to manage their weight?
