Mate I’ve seen worse. I’ve seen an employee get paid a weeks wages, get pissed and lose it all in the same pub he worked in. On Christmas Eve years ago another male took money from the main safe and used it thinking he would win and put it back. Never saw him after that day.

While we’re at it. Why are gambling machines in pubs not regulated more? When I was a manager for spoons I had an older man with obvious difficulties buy a Pepsi and keep getting cash back, putting it into a slot machine until he had nothing. I asked my manager can I intervene and say something and he said no. I was shocked and refused him anyway I couldn’t believe it all.

I can see the hourly usage as it’s in the kitchen in plain site. It’s normally around 15p/ hour if the washing machine or oven isnt on. I just wanted to know im not going mad.

Ask the shop before hand. 9 times out of ten it’s fine. I’ve had screens replaced countless times and never gone down the official route.

Most dodgy phone shops will do it fine. Just go for somewhere that has a guarantee when it’s replaced. You can also just buy the parts and ask a shop to fit them. Nowadays it’s not that difficult to use YouTube and do it yourself. This is how I replace the ram in my laptop and saved money.

You either leave the butter out and it melts from the heat in the kitchen rapidly or you store it in the fridge and it’s stays hard. Just ask the kitchen to butter it or use a spoon to spread. I haven’t used a knife to spread in a decade.

90% of estate agents will ask for 6 months to a years rent up front. I went through this recently. Even with a guarantor and 3 months rent they all just flat out said no.

This. We spend around £300/ month on food and my wife hand makes everything including bread and buying a whole gammon joint and hand carving ham. Food is fucking expensive here compared to other European nations. I go to Amsterdam every year and im always shocked at how cheap meats and cheeses are. They eat so well and hardly anything is processed. I am genuinely concerned at £7/ week. You’ll get calories from pasta and bread but minimal nutrition value.

From an ex manager of spoons for over 10 years. The way the general public act inside a spoons is fucking atrocious at times. Then not only do staff take shit but then have to clean up after them. Found a used positive pregnancy test on a table once with a sock. The amount of times I’ve told 50 year old men they are adults and compose yourself is a joke. People view spoons as a shit hole. I’ve been told this hundreds of times. “ spoons are just a shit holes” my response “ well, it’s not the staff that make it like that is it?” They don’t like that answer.
