• Why is the UK so unfriendly to expats for opening a bank account? As a new expat, how the hell am I supposed to open a bank account without a permanent address and have a valid address without a bank account? Doesn't it ever occur to people that it is a catch-22 situation?

• I want to learn how to drive a car but I am living in a house-share at the moment. The provisional DVLA application is asking me to enter an address. My live-in landlord does not want her address to be exposed anywhere from my side (reasonable). What can I do? Can I give my office address?
