How would I expose a mate who’s on a cheating spree?

Posted by YouAreBonked@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 90 comments

BraveTemps@reddit

This is about you being jealous of my mate getting girls and you want to get some petty revenge. What he's doing is not right, but given that none of the women involved are actually close to you, what does it actually have to do with you? If you spent time actually improving yourself rather than on being a jealous loser maybe you'd actually have a better life.

BraveTemps@reddit

London based software developer. If you're lucky you can start at 50K after you graduate and end up on 100K before 30. Otherwise if you grind for a bit you can still get to 100K before 40. The key thing is to be in London and not be afraid to take crappy jobs for experience.

What is the limit on swearing in a UK office?

Posted by JellyfishArm@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 822 comments

BraveTemps@reddit

It would be very faux-pas for someone to swear in my office environment. In that kind of environment it should not be within earshot of anyone you don't know. If I hear people in other teams swearing, it sounds really unprofessional and changes the atmosphere for a while in a not good way.

What is your opinion on Dominoes pizza?

Posted by Between3N20Karakters@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 270 comments

BraveTemps@reddit

Depends on the store. I don't find Dominoes anywhere near as consistent as McDonald's, which has unholy levels of consistency (although one or two times they put too much sauce on the big mac which was unforgivable). Sometimes it has been amazing. Other times not so much. One thing they seem to get right that locals mess up a lot is keeping the pizza warm. I have a local price that offers great prices, but only does good thin crust pizzas. Except if you order thin crust from them it's cold by the time it gets to your house (my house being literally <10m walk away). Like.. just use a proper insulated bag for the pizza or whatever it's called.

You're the kind of entitled person that feels you should have what others have but fail to see everything that you have that has basically been given to you on a plate. To be in a situation where you actually work alongside these people means you were born into an incredibly favorable situation already. And yet you're not posting about how lucky you are? The problem here is simple: you're an entitled twat

is 45 minutes considered to be a ‘long’ walk?

Posted by Dry-Advice-9943@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 445 comments

BraveTemps@reddit

It's long but if you're not getting any other exercise then it's fine. How do you feel about it? Are you bored? Are you trying to save money? Avoid a packed train? Lot more context needed here. Personally I used to walk around 35m and listened to podcasts etc, would also form part of my daily exercise. If you're already going to the gym then seems like a waste of time.

Why do you care? You know what's worth more than a million pound home or a million quid in the bank? Just having a home, being able to pay your bills, and most of all being strong fit and healthy with a loving family. Believe it or not, most of the that is available to the majority of people.

You can wait an hour after eating to brush if you're that worried. Also if you're worried about the above then I assume you're flossing and seeing the dentist every 6 months. Otherwise priorities are in the wrong order.

If you brush teeth after eating your enamel will be softer from the acid introduced by your eating and you'll end up damaging them in the long run.
