Many Ukrainian women stayed to help defend Kyiv when the war started. There are photos of armed women on the streets. I myself have met many who stayed prepared to fight and die.

Women fought at the siege of Azovstal and were taken prisoner. I interviewed one of the few Ukrainian women POW’s to be traded in a prisoner exchange and her tale was beyond harrowing.

My initial thought pattern was actually that universal suffrage/political inclusion means states are less likely to engage in wars (wars being both expensive and probably unpopular unless very well justified) and are less likely to fall to civil war but having thought about it some more I don't actually think that would hold up to scrutiny. Like I'd be willing to bet that in the last half century more Brits, French or Americans died in combat than Chinese.

You could look at much of the rest of the democratic world and say they don't engage in warfare but the obvious counter is that is due to the USA's taking the role of world police reducing the need for (for example) Belgium needing to send soldiers to stabilise its oil supply.

So yeah, in hindsight I rescind the point that universal suffrage innately leads to men being sent to war.

Men have this romanticised view of women patiently waiting at home for their return from the war. I joined the Royal Marines and went off to the 2003 war in Iraq. I honestly believed growing up that women who love someone will wait patiently for their return. I also believed that having an impressive career like Royal Marine Captain would be seen as a great catch by most women. What I learned is that women care more about Mr Right Here, Right Now than they do about Mr Right. You could be a skinny, acne covered burger flipper at McDonald's, and because you were there working daily with women team members, you'd be getting a lot more action than guys working in all male job roles who have to go away on dangerous tours for long periods of time. Women think war is just some stupid male hobby, and if you're not there to give them attention 24/7, they'll go with whoever is even if he's a total loser. So many men end up working ridiculous hours to provide for a woman, and because that causes the man to be away, the woman will start having an affair with the jobless guy next door whose able to give her some attention.

I respect the few Ukrainian women who stayed and got actively involved in the war effort, but guys need to know that if their country is ever invaded, most women will leave like rats on a sinking ship and be more than happy to accept the attention of the men in their new host countries. British women were notorious for this in WW2 when their men were abroad fighting and US service men got stationed in the UK.

I'm actually convinced it's an evolutionary trait that when invading male armys conquered somewhere new, the loyal women killed themselves, ending their genetic predisposition for loyalty. The remaining disloyal women happily procreated with the foreign invaders, ensuring a continuation of "flexible" loyalty genes in women. Your beliefs in women are understandable, considering your age. You're probably not familiar with how people actually work, so you listen to hateful opinions that form how you view women.

Women being allowed to choose who they marry has helped immensely. They are no longer forced to stay in relationships where they are being abused, physically, emotionally, and financially. It makes women happier, less likely to be raped or murdered.

And all politics are influenced emotionally to some extent. It's not just women that are leftist, btw, it's pretty much anyone who watched tiktok and have an agenda pushed on them. I can see two sides to this argument.

On one hand, as it’s been stated before, women simply do not bear the brunt of conflict. Men fight and die for their country, while their women lavish at home soaking in all that sweet international support despite not doing a goddamn thing to help their country. Ukrainian women have fled to go live in luxury across Europe. This is much different from women in America during WWII for example, who even though they didn’t fight, they contributed in the factories and other jobs that were left vacant by the men.

On the other hand, these conflicts are started by men. Men start these wars, and men fight and die to end them. It isn’t women sending their soldiers off to die now is it. Of course, Ukraine didn’t start the war, so that argument goes more towards the Russian side.

The system is inherently unequal. There’s bitterness that Ukrainian women get foreign aid and have no fears during a literal invasion of their homeland, with most of them seemingly not giving a shit. The issue is more of a microcosm of much larger inequalities inherent in western society

You can't say negative things about females in the military without people freaking out. It ironically limits the hardbody / hard worker females who are great at their jobs and max the PT test, meaning the fat bodies are getting a free pass off of their backs.

Additionally, the fat bodies make it into combat where they shouldn't be because they got passed from command to command, because no one wants to admit they should have never been in the military in the first place... then they freak out because they have both mental and physical weakness because they don't break themselves with the physical exercise because they are fat bodies who everyone just lets get away with it.

TL;DR: it's not that they are females, it's that the military lets them be fat females that they get the PTSD in combat. You don't hold the standard and then wonder why they get hurt.

Since my country went through a similar war recently, i know i and all of my friends would prefer if our wives, girlfriends, mothers and sisters would be safe and sound in another country than in bombing distance.
