Super late on this. I can't remember the name of the band, but I know what you are talking about, and I know for a certainty that the bands front man and his dogs were killed on the road by a drunk driver. If I find out, I'll post. Good luck.

I'm certain it's not but thanks for the contribution. Obviously hard to translate this over text. The melody is monotone...sounds very like Metallica or Slayer, more intense than Sabbath or DP. I'm trying to find an example of them doing it on YouTube to share

That's electric funeral by Sabbath. Not the one unfortunately!

It's close. The Electric Funeral melody is pretty chromatic, which I can see being too hard for Beavis and Butt-Head to sing. They jump up to the minor 6th and go down the minor scale until they reach the 3rd, whereas Electric Funeral jumps up to the 5th and goes down to the 3rd chromatically (mostly, there's one whole step from the 4th to the minor 3rd)

Way late to the party, but I've always had this problem where I'm trying to remember which guitar riff they sang, but I can't remember which one it is. The most common ones I think of are Iron Man, Smoke on the Water, Heartbreaker.
Well it turns out...they do all of them, which is mainly why I couldn't specifically remember.
They also do Electric Funeral, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Ironically, the thing I was misremembering was that they always riffed the same song.
Anyway, there's a YouTube video titled "Beavis and Butt-Head Guitar Riff Compilation!" It has all the ones listed above. I'm about to watch through the entire series again, so I'll take notes and come back to add any additional songs they riff on.

Dude..... I know the exact song you're talking about. I just found this thread trying to literally just sing it at my google. I thought it was a secret song at the end of their soundtrack but the internet isn't telling me this. I feel like it was Cheech and chong for some reason but google is not providing.
The song starts with Beavis and Butthead just singing hard and headbanging "duh da duh, duh da duh, da da duh" and it leads into a hard guitar of the same riff, and the singer is kind of singing rapping on a mocking tone. Fuuuuuck me this is bugging me

Turns out, what was in my head wasn't even Beavis and Butthead, but the beginning kind of sounds like Beavis...... It's the secret song at the end of Korn Follow the Leader.
Was that the one you were thinking of too?
