What do Hungarians look like?

Hi. I have been Googling pictures of people in Hungary, trying to get a sense of what average people there look like. This isn't about race or anything, I'm just curious, as I realized that I have an image of Hungarians as dark complected, dark haired people, looking like Latins (Greeks, Italians, Spanish, etc.). I have no idea why I think this. Anyway, the image searches I find sometimes seem to agree with this idea, sometimes not. On the whole, it looks like a mix of everything--brunettes and blondes, (though not a lot of red-heads), and fair-skinned. So, my question is, _are_blondes/fair people common there, and mixed in with a variety of types, or does one particular group (whether dark or fair) predominate?
EDIT: Not a racist, just curious.

I am full Hungarian and this is interesting topic because I was looking into why I seem to be the only one( in my immediate family and even a little further beyond that ) who has the dark completion and I can sit in the sun for 10-20 min and you'll see a noticable tan but then my family seems to burn and slowly tan and are lighter than me...None have blonde hair though everyone in my family seems to have brown-dark brown hair but I do believe mine is extremely thicker lol...no clue why but my full sister is lighter skin thinner hair lighter hair. She's just 5 years older than me..my mom dyes her hair blonde since I was a kid and can pull it off and make it look very natural but she's the only blonde I know but like I said she dyes it you just can't at all tell...I do know on my mom's side that my dad's mother is part Jewish but I don't know...might try ancestry someday and learn something LOLÂ

My family on my mother's side are Hungarian. She has 11 siblings and all but 1 have dark hair, hazel eyes and darker skin tone than my mom. My mom and her oldest sister have fair skin with light eyes and hair. Some of her siblings always have a darker skin tone but a few have a pale winter complexion and get very tanned in the spring/summer. Genetics are odd. She is fully related to all but one of her siblings, the oldest of the 12 is a half brother.

A thousand years ago or a few thousand what ever forgot but the Turks invaded all of Europe and they breaded with the Europeans as a result all Europeans have some level of turkis dna now a days just some family’s have more while others have less some Europeans got up to 30% Turkis dna with others as low as 5% that’s the main reason between skin color differences in Europe in Spain for example they got more of it so they darker in the uk they got less so they lighter and within same families you can have different skin tons just because your like skin parents only got %5 doesn’t stop you from getting %30 cause the turkis dna is recessiveÂ

Lot of incorrect answers. There are a two part book written by "Kiszely Istvan: Hungarian people" on antropology of hungarian people, which shares analysis based on measurements made in subregion detail made witg overall 300k+ people. According to the results, the average hungarian is a little bit darker then the mid on Martin skin scale by approx 10%. Males: 5,43/9 females: 5,95/9 (on the scale 1 is the lightest, measured on belly skin). At some regions it can be on averrage even higher 6-6,25 and not necessarly because of Roma people, the book describes how different balkan people groups moved to the region from 15th century like bulgars, greeks, slavs also some armenian groupz not to mention the base Hungarian population, which did not change over the last 1000 year< which did not mix with other ethnic geoups. before the ~1920 years and carries significsnt jász, cuman, ossetian ancestry which is closer genetically to the anatolian, turk traits. (Look up for example Azerbaijan, Ossetian people's looks, many hungarian resembles their phenotype).

It depends on where your lineage comes from. For example, there can be Sephardi or Middle Eastern Jewish Hungarians (some people confuse them with Roma/Gypsy populations), as well as Gypsies or individuals who have mixed with other ethnicities, such as Turkish. Usually, Hungarians with olive skin have Jewish and/or Gypsy ancestry.

Hungarian people have white skin usually btown or blonde hair, usually Caucasian eyes but some Hungarians have monolid eyes. Like in my family on my dad's side all have Caucasian eyes and my mom's side has Caucasian and alot of monolid eyes. The Hungarians you see with tanned skin are called Róma or aka (not to be offensive) gypsies. Yes they are considered Hungarians but people will mistake all of Hungarians to be gypsies which is not true at all. We just have alot of Róma in our country.

Maybe you associate Hungarians with people(s) like the Tatars or Mexicans (both of them have pretty much to do with Asia), but modern-day Hungarians are basically a mixture of Germans, Western Slavs and Byzantines/Balcanics (perhaps 1/3 of each), just like Romanians and other Balcanics may be a mixture of either Slavs and Byzantines or Turks and Slavs. Maybe the dark-haired Hungarians are more closer to South Slavs, Greeks and Albanians, yet most HUngarians I„ve seen rather close to Germans (south Germans) and Polish people.

I’m Hungarian and everyone I meet thinks I’m Spanish. The hair, the eyes, the skin, the attitude. My family all have these traits. Very curious where it comes from!

When people go to Hungary ( when they read about the Huns and Mongols or brainwashed by Pan Turanist propaganda ) they expect to see East Asian dudes living in Yurts , riding horses and practicing archery , practicing shamanism or sky worship and throat singing
This is a stereotype because Atilla the Hun was there or since Magyar is Uralic/Turkic in Origin ...
But when you really come to Hungary you'll instead see White Christian Europeans.... sure language is different but 99.99% of everything else is White European....
