Linking to the work of a person who obviously detests cars and advocates against them on r/cars is a disingenuous way of posting flamebait. Here's his twitter profile for those who don't know who he is: [David Zipper (@DavidZipper) / X (twitter.com)](https://twitter.com/DavidZipper)

Almost any mobility researcher is in favor of reducing automobility, especially the plague of car dependency.

Semi-related anecdote: Ford Ranger. I go on the internet, I often read it being called a small / midsize pickup truck. Pictures with it along a F150 also seem to agree. Reasonably sized truck for reasonable people. And then I get out on my european roads in my european car, encounter a Ranger "in flesh" and wonder how the fuck can you even keep such a land yacht in a single lane. So yeah, you folks accross the pond have a car size issue, you really do.

The Ranger of today is close to the same size of a F-150 from 20 years ago.

A 1970s Fleetwood is actually a little larger than a suburban. Cars are bigger than they were in the 90s generally, but still not nearly as large as they were in the 70s
