Another lonely Saturday night, what are all you single lot up to?

I was pretty terrified of it at first, thought that I would feel like a loser, but going out and doing things solo is actually very freeing! I’ve travelled a few places now by myself and once you realise that literally no one gives a shit if you’re at a table for 1 in a restaurant, or wandering round a museum by yourself instead of with a friend/partner, it becomes very enjoyable. No one else to fit your day around, can interact with people as much or as little as you like, and allows you to do things that you may have been missing out on before due to the image in your head of doing it solo. Going to a museum/gallery and asking someone that works there for a bit more information on a work or painting is a great way to get some conversation in, and it doesn’t feel forced or awkward because most of the time they’re interested in what it is you want to talk about and are gassed that someone wants to find out more about it. Plus a lot of those places are cheap/free.
