What is the difference for NHS referral options? One says "This is a referral assessment clinic" and the other is "This is a face to face clinic"?

I have an NHS appointment referral quick question, hoping someone here can shed some light. I need to see an ENT and had a referral right to chose thing pop up on the app. What's the difference between a referral assesment clinic and a face to face clinic?
