I have an identity question for Albanians and Romanians

Ok, sooo, dont get mad im just throwing this around in my head so I wanted to see what Albanians and Romanians think about this. Here’s my thing – if Vlachs are leftover Romanized natives of the Balkans who didnt get assimilated by Slavs, meaning Thracians, Dacians, Illyrians, and who knows what other origin of Roman citizenship, does that kind of make Romanians and Albanians kind of Nations with the same origin? I mean you both have a lot of Latin words for starters and the languages sound similar at least to me. Does this mean that the people referred in historical records as Vlachs can also be considered Albanian depending on proximity to the centers of Albanian culture? Or am i mislabelling the word Vlach altogether here? Im sorry if i come off as ignorant and i def dont mean to provoke. Hell if anything this could be a talking point for Albanian nationalists but lets not take it there plz.
