New version of life straw (peak series)

I’ve seen the brand new life straws called the “peak series” and they really stood out as an interesting option with the 28mm thread in the bottom as well as the ability to attach a tube. They’re a bit smaller too, slightly more practical to fit in a smaller kit. The rating on number of gallons it can filter is much less than the sawyer “100,000 gallon” rating but that always seemed like marketing hype than what you could expect in reality. I found this article about a guys pretty good test showing after just 86 gallons on the sawyer and back flushing daily while on the PCT he saw a 22% drop in flow (https://thetrek.co/pacific-crest-trail/dont-ditch-your-sawyer-filter-just-yet/) The lifestraw says it will stop working after at 1000 gallons for the large and 500 for the solo. I’ve tried to find more info on this but everything I find is about the older model. Anyone tried it?
