When I worked in a cell phone store, we always warned against these, actually. They had way more issues than the others out at the time. Generally speaking, once these came out, we recommended against anything Motorola.
I would go back to the RAZR if I could.
I admit that I got my first smart phone at the end of 2022......I avoided it for so long.
But the current dumb phones are SO bad.

I knew I saved this thing from college for a reason…
IMO these LG flips with a full keyboard were peak cell phone.

I liked the slvr more than the razr but no one seems to remember it.. However my favorite phone was the env2. Wish I could still use it I'd get rid of the iPhone in a heartbeat.
It was probably better to get a candy bar phone, but I loved my StarTac, so for some reason I thought phones needed to clap shut.
I miss the Motorola with the slide out keyboard soooooo much.
I had an Env2. Loved it so much. Eventually got a Voyager which was better for me but then Android became the dominant force, which we all knew would happen, and now its just a sea of lame ass pocket computers that dont really impress me much.

The Danger network (that was the company that developed and ran the servers) ran independently from TMobile servers for everything from Web access, downloading apps, and MMS. Everything was on the cloud as well which was way ahead of its time as everything else was old school backup to a pc via usb cable.
My parents had verizon, which at the time never had any of the good phones. When I found out they were getting the RAZR, I was so excited. I had my hopes crushed when I saw the Verizon version had a black rubber keypad instead of the brushed metal, and could not play mp3s.
I had a love hate relationship with my Razr.
I loved how thin and sleek it was, but holy balls that fucker was fragile. You could *look* at it the wrong way and it would break.
Mine had its battery overheat and destroy the phone on the last flight I've taken, about 15 years ago. It got so hot I had to take it out of my jeans pocket.

My first cellphone circa 2002. It was blue and had sparkles.
I had a hell of a side hustle of recasing broken ones or different colors when the pink and black were other carrier exclusive. (I worked for T-Mobile tech support at the time these were popular)
It did suck. The screen and camera would get full of dust rendering it virtually useless, it was fragile, battery wasn't great, overall shoddy build/fit and finish.
All style, no substance.
My memory has blanked out most of the specifics, but I remember it made almost everything I ever did with it an ordeal - even charging it was a pain!
When I got my next phone, this one got propped up on a log and used for target practice. Its one good deed was making my Dad think we were bonding over something sports-adjacent for an hour.
My first phone was the motorola C333 and god damn that was a miserable piece of shit. Then I discovered Nokia and life was great for about 6 years or so.

I had one too. I reflashed the firmware on mine to be the default Motorola software instead of the Verizon specific version. Mostly because I was used to it and preferred the default software (the VZW version was so slow and clunky). I’m pretty sure the Moto firmware is less hard on the battery as well since I knew a few others with VZW Krzrs and they all had the battery wear out much sooner.
That was the last fliphone I had before I got an iPhone.
Mine was Nintendo-themed, modded, and amazing.

There was a paparazzi photo of Paris Hilton in a limo with a RAZR outside of Club Paris in Orlando that made it's way through the magazines and those old JustJared type celebrity websites and what felt like overnight every female I knew had a RAZR.
