I feel shit. My father passed just over a year ago from throat cancer. My dog passed last week from stomach cancer. My mother has a clump of brain tumours (non-cancerous, but non-operational), and I care for her full time. I have no life outside of this, and my best case scenario for the future is my mother dying peacefully and me being homeless and jobless in my 50s. This is why nobody asks, and I never tell.

I comment as it is true "Contented". Adequate income for food, house paid off, clothes ex local charity shop (jumpers, trousers etc, new underwear ex M&S) . No holidays. Just day trips. A nice contented existence. I have seen real poverty in Asia and elsewhere, so I know the difference.

I’m okay, thanks. Have a week off coming up, which I need so badly - I’m mentally exhausted as I haven’t taken proper time off (other than weekends, I’m a 9-5er) this year. Bit tired, bit lonely, bit bored and feeling a bit restless. But that’s all fairly usual, and a bit better than most days, so overall, I’m actually okay.

I worked 80 hours a week for a year and saved it. I also lived in a houseshare with druggies and people with anger problems who throw your food out of the freezer. And I have no social life. I think the 80 hours is what contributed to feeling suicidal

A bit shit. Work is stressing me out. I'm currently full time WFH and getting pressure to go into our site a few days a week but it's 3hrs away so means over nights each week. They will pay for it but it's not great. Also I've got another person signed off to go from just myself but I think they are going to use it as a way to renegotiate my contract. ☹️

Nervous because I’m taking part in my cycling clubs 10 mile time trial for the first time this season and last season I only managed one because I was so out of shape and I’ve lost a bit of weight since but I haven’t ridden much over the winter and have been rowing instead. Also feeling a bit bleh as I am grieving my mum who passed away on the first of this month and it is her funeral on Friday, but also feeling a bit accomplished as I managed to finish a painting of her that we are going to display at her funeral. So a bit mixed lol

Little burnt out on work after doing a full weekend of overtime. Can't wait for a proper weekend. Went out today in my lunch break to dig up some soil from a nearby park, plan to extract the clay from it (I hope it has a reasonable amount of clay) and use that to make pottery in the garden at some point then fire it in the firepit that I haven't built yet.
