Does this allegation toward Frank Doyle have any substance?

Slander with a lot of overstatement. The author has a viewpoint with not much to go on, so they use a lot of words to embellish the article and use the mythbusters name to increase the number of hits on the article. Old article. It's from 2013. It's the same reason they tried to have a press conference outside M5 back in May 2013 calling on Jamie & Adam to account for Doyle.

This is just one angle they tried. It didn't work.

Though the court case that got them 4.4 million back in 2002 apparently worked. In that one the FBI claimed it was Oakland cops that screwed up while the Oakland cops claimed it was the FBI that screwed up. 2 years later the city of Oakland and the FBI settled with Cherney's lawyers and gave up on the appeal process. The author if this article is trying to claim that Doyle or somebody within the FBI was responsible for the bombing but they don't have anything to prove that. So they were trying to use Jamie's company and the mythbuster's name to push their agenda.

Well to be fair if everyone else has to answer for crimes they didn’t commit.. (this being the victims of the bombing in this case ) it is only fair that they answer to what the hell happened and why they chose this fool to be on their show theyre are smart guys and I don’t think they didn’t know about the incident. That being said what the hell was he doing on the show!!

There is no hard evidence in the article, it's purely circumstantial. The pipe bomb was similar in construction to those used at Doyle's school and was placed in the passenger cabin of the car rather than underneath the car. The article goes on about that for a bit, but it's purely circumstantial. The only thing that even kind of interesting to me was the recording they mentioned , something about Doyle saying 'This is your final exam" near where the bomb went off. But since they didn't go further into detail on the only piece of maybe evidence they had, I doubt its very convincing.

Though I totally believe that the FBI was more than willing to sweep the bombing under the rug because who cares if some one killed some political dissident they already didn't like.
