Is it just me or is Full Spectrum Survival a sensationalist?

I try to get info from many sources, including YouTube, but this guy seems to sensationalize everything, to the point of only reading headlines at best, lying at worst.
Is it just me?

This guy keeps getting pink eye. HE NEEEDS TO LEARN TO WASH HIS HANDS!

It's not you, he is constantly saying "it's starting" and talks about how "they" hate you and are trying to destroy you. He's gotten worse over time. Also he complains about people pointing out when he's wrong, and he removed his videos after a few weeks or so, so you can't point out the wrong predictions.

Rogue Preparedness is like the only YouTube prepper who isn’t a click bait fear monger. And Rose Red Homestead, she’s interesting and happy.

I think there are a lot of good content creators on YouTube that have turned their hobby/passion into some profit. I’m fine with that as long as they are honest s d sincere. But, I like the ones prepping for Tuesday, not DD. I really don’t like the fear mongering ones, sometimes it feels like watching a personal mental health crises… like they need to be medicated. If the show you are referring to is more sensational that Canadian Prepper, which I can’t stand to watch, then it’s not just you.

It's not just you. Full Spectrum Survival is the most sensationalist survivalism/prepper youtuber I have ever seen. Way worse than canadian prepper. Nobody comes close. Everything he reports on is heavily editorialised and presented to induce maximum fear. His tone is always what I can only describe as doom prophet larper. He's who normal people point to to label preppers crazy. Block him.
My favorite prepper youtuber is Marfoogle TV.

I used to watch Canadian prepper, but he went from interesting content to sitting in his truck reading headlines from conspiracy theorists about how the world is going to end tomorrow.
And that’s the cycle of YouTube tho. You start out making videos, get a little famous, keep making them, maybe make enough to quit your job, get some fancy graphics, higher production value. But your next meal is dependent on putting out another video, and how many “top 10” videos or “bug out bag” videos can you make? So you start searching for content because a video needs to be posted today. So you are forced to stray into things you’re less familiar with like politics and boom there’s goes your channel.

Most of them are.

All prepper youtubers are. They are useless click baiters.

Was subbed for a few weeks. Absolute shite.

I don’t know who this guy is, will not be looking. But yeah. Everyone does this. I was in a waiting room with CNN on waiting for the Iranian attack this weekend. They turned the hour long wait of that nothing burger into an hour speculation of if it was going to lead to WW3. Sane and sensible doesn’t attract eyeballs which means no money from ads.
Nufonewhodis2@reddit
Yup, it's all infotainment meant to keep you watching
Jettyboy72@reddit
You’re just realizing this now?
AdditionalAd9794@reddit
I haven't watched him in a while, as he was getting worse and worse, he hasn't been worth watching since he gave up and stopped posting on his homesteading channel. I feel like that was over two years ago

Influencers are primarily salesmen doing product promotions and more than a few prepper influencers push products through anxiety. They basically use any event to encourage panic buying of their sponsors products. Others promote dubious claims of their expertise and/or provide guides and instruction that could have come from a flyer while waxing philosophically on "the psychology" of survival and trying to convince you of their hero status, while selling you some mostly worthless BS.
The sad truth is that even if the influencer started out earnestly sharing their hobby, the realities of a social media business eventually sets in and it becomes a business. Very Black Mirror really.

YT content quality tend to be horrible they are selling clicks not useful content.
