In Scotland and Wales it is a criminal offence to smack or strike a child, but it's allowed in England and NI. Do you think parents in England should have the right to assault a child with a wooden spoon?

My cousin would routinely spank her 3 children which I venomly disagreed with. I told her it can cause life long problems for the child. The oldest boy now 29 is in jail for a serious GBH charge. The girl now 27 is in a woman's domestic violence safe house, and the youngest boy, now 24, is on probation and has a restraining order for domestic violence. Coincidence? I think not! This I believe is simply because they used to spanked often with a wooden spoon as children. I wish someone savvy would start a Petition against assaulting children. It is illegal to strike an adult but fine on defenceless children. More info: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-68827782 Anyone here spank their kids?
