uLtRa LoW bAcK pReSsUrE. Rex doesn’t send their cans to pewscience so they can make these dumb marketing claims. Willing to bet they just poked some holes in their baffles and called it ultra low back pressure.
nealtherep@reddit
Who gives a shit about pew science. Tell him to start doing tests with different hosts other than the same boot gun, etc he uses .
6ought6@reddit
They are meant to be a benchmark, having a highly tuned rifle built for suppression kinda defeats the purpose
Belchman13@reddit
he tries to hard to sound smart, hate people like that and why would i listen to what some narcissistic FRUITcake thinks about gun stuff lmao
nealtherep@reddit
This guy clearly cares. Clown simp spewing ignorance like a typical Fudd
Guns-Guitars_KG2022@reddit
The ultra low back pressure design they implemented is actually very intriguing and simple enough I'm surprised it hasn't been tried already. All they did was reverse the first few baffles to essentially trap the gas right in the middle of the can. I'm anxious to see how it performs.
BlueJay--@reddit
I'd really like to hear one of these but I'm not super impressed with my mg7 224.
My man needs to send some shit to pewscience or fucking someone
Mighty-Bagel-Calves@reddit
I think that's common. You do have to remember the MG7k is a "k can"
It's short and stout and doesn't really perform as well as a full size can, but in my experience it performs as good or better than other popular k cans.
I'm absolutely interested in these new cans but I'm going to wait for reviews, whether scientific or not, before I make a decision.
BlueJay--@reddit
I'm comparing it to my other K cans
epia343@reddit
Intrigued to know how this compares to the OCL polonium.
No_Artichoke_5670@reddit
I don't have this one, but the Polonium will definitely be quieter, probably by a good margin. Flow-through suppressors are cool tech, but you almost always sacrifice a lot of sound suppression to get that low back-pressure. I'd much rather tune my gas system for a quieter suppressor. After all, the whole point of a suppressor is to suppress sound.
mt59828@reddit
Where does it say this is a flow through design?
Stevecore444@reddit
How do you reduce the back pressure if the gases aren’t going somewhere?
NEp8ntballer@reddit
Baffle geometry or increasing internal volume
Local_Seaworthiness9@reddit
By over sizing a hole
mt59828@reddit
I mean yeah I get that, but if you look at the pics on their website, there are absolutely no vent holes anywhere on the can. There is, however, a giant-ass collection chamber in the middle.

Uh. Duuuuhhhh
You fart

Compared a friends polo k to my mg7 224… polo k is quieter without a doubt
PM_ME_UR_LOST_WAGES@reddit (OP)
I have a Polo K and it's a performant can but comes at the cost of high back pressure (compared to say, my LPM Torch w/ vented end cap).
The value proposition of high flow rate cans is lesser suppression for way less gas/need for tuning. Choose your poison...
AnEffortIsBeingMade@reddit
"ultra low back pressure" on a .223 means "everyone can see and hear you a mile away". It's like those Witt Machine "suppressors" that were giving 6-8dB of sound reduction and their guy was like "well we don't care if it's loud as long as it isn't loud at the shooter's ear" my man what do you think a silencer is supposed to do it has one job
nealtherep@reddit
Anyone will hear you a mile away using any .223 can. 🥴
Local_Seaworthiness9@reddit
Always out of stock by time I see
Knee_High_Cat_Beef@reddit
What makes these low back pressure? It just looks like they weld individual baffles together.
JesusOnBelay@reddit
Good deal on its own, then add on the BOGO .22 can you would get from Rex with it...
Clibbins@reddit
That's what put it over the edge for me. Here's hoping my dealer receives it before rex runs out of BOGO cans
JesusOnBelay@reddit
Yeah, I would have jumped on this if I saw it before it went OOS. Good luck!!!
sithanas@reddit
Were these actually in stock? Been waiting for them to show up
windzor351@reddit
Yep, there were 4 of the 224 and 1 308 when I checked.
I managed to snag a 224. Love my Rex MG7K 358. I figure for a supersonic cal like 5.56, no can will ever be hearing safe so might as well try the flow thru style for less gas to the face.
Anyone actually shot thru the new Rex SWP line yet? Reviews?
PM_ME_UR_LOST_WAGES@reddit (OP)
There were like 3 or 4 of the 30cal/308 bored ones when I snagged one. OOS now of course.
Also goddamn at the speed these are going OOS. I checked and, like any good gundeals guy, got one for myself first. And then there were none.
this-iscrazyrn@reddit
I jumped on the SWP .308 and there were 3 left.
NathanC777@reddit
Yes
sithanas@reddit
Balls, missed them then.
LupacKid@reddit
Damn OOS
