Bank statement - How can I trace a payment?

I've got an unknown transaction in bank statement that's just shown up today The transfer description is " tjqcyl HONG KONG" and even though its not a huge amount, I'm worried it will be the start of something else I cant remember making a payment recently to this amount and I can't find email history suggesting what I've bought - although I admit I do tend to batch delete emails Is there a way to find out what retailer / business that relates to as nothing comes up when I Google? I will be ringing barclays about it but just want to double check before I make a fool of myself, in case it was me all along! Any help greatly appreciated thanks

That happened to me a while back. A random small amount to an unknown vendor charged against my credit card. My cc company (mbna) refunded it with no hassle but the fraud agent I spoke to told me it was common for scammers to charge a few small amounts to see if they went through unnoticed, before they'd try a larger amount. So contact your card provider and attest to them you don't know the vendor. They'll refund you and issue a new card.
