Accessing VMFS datastore without any ESXi hosts

I'll try to be succinct;
Decommissioned and unracked 6 ESXI hosts but left the SAN with the Datastores active (it was being used by other stuff)
Was told that a few of the VM's were no longer needed so don't worry about them, just shut them off and decommission the HW.
3 months later.....

They need one of the VM's. The old storage network is technically 'alive' but I didnt have any documentation on it, so I'd have to spend time reverese engineering it, figuring out the VLAN's etc. and I'm not even sure I have credentials for the old dell switches.
I have a few old Hyper V hosts that are supposed to be decomissioned but are still active on the storage network. I'd like to add the VMFS volumes to the windows server and pull the VMDK files off somehow, but the only tool I found to do so is from 2010 and uses JAVA to facilitate, which I dont have installed on the server\\host\\Hyper V node.
Anyone know of a way to view the datastore files natively in a Windows Environment?
