Do pilots on the 75/76 choose domestic/international flying just by bidding?

I would think the 75 would have mostly domestic routes (with a few exceptions) and the 76 a mix of domestic and long haul. When you bid for your schedule does it show you the airframe? If you wanted to stay domestic would you just bid domestic lines and probably end up on the 75 most of the time? Or is it just a tossup which aircraft you'll end up flying? Is there any additional training/certification you need to fly international vs domestic? Any tricky airports/countries that require additional training?
