I need DBS check and was wondering if you have had issues?

I have held a DBS and its predecessor for over 20 years now. I am at 3 weeks and counting for my newest one to go through the checks. Just called DBS to be told it can take up to 60 days. Wtaf? I finished last job because it was end of tax year and made sense and didn’t envision being stuck in the hell of no income and no job. Job needs me and I need job, but also need DBS. Maybe I should have checked before I handed in notice but never had this issue before.

My last one came through in about 2 weeks. Never had an issue with one taking a long time (unlike SC clearance which can be a nightmare).
