Where do you find old computers that may be in good working order?

Sometimes I feel an itch to find an old computer, whether it be a DOS/Windows PC, old Mac, Amiga, etc., and aside from eBay etc. (where things can get expensive), I'm wondering where might be some good places to find old computers? Would you have to just have good luck visiting Goodwill (or other thrift stores) and checking electronics recycling dumpsters etc.?

Keep your eyes open while driving. In my town people sometimes simply put their old machines out for the recycling pickup or the lane rangers. I've found a few machines from an old AST Bravo LC 4/66d, about 1995, to a 2010 machine in an Antec 1200 case that had been used for a Hackintosh and a few machines in between.
edit: Another thought crosses my mind, the swap meet or flea market might be a source o old systems or parts.

You can come clean out my garage, patio, & every room in my house, I've even got an open box never used OS/warp I wanted to load just to see what it was like. Might still get to it someday, it would be fun to install on a modern PC that would leave it confused about components it can't recognize.

I have the reverse question. I have an IBM RAID server (late 90s?) that I'd be happy to give away if I could find someone who wanted it. Craigslist?
