I was a late teen during the great recession of 2008.
I didn't suffer, as my parents had a very steady job, but I remember other people who believed they'd be fine then losing their jobs. Also, getting the sort of job a teenager would do was hard.
Subconsciously, I think I grew up thinking 'this could all implode at any moment'.
I don't know whether today's teenagers, who've never known a recession, think that way - or maybe they do?
