I have builders doing work in the garden for the next three weeks. How often would you offer them a cuppa?

and would you offer them anything else? The only time I've had tradesman in for longer than a few hours was before I moved in, and I just left them supplies and a kettle and told them to help themselves.

Ask them how often they like a top up when you give them the 1st one? There is no standardised teas per hour figure for every tradesman

I had this when a driveway was being done. They tend to knock every now and then for various questions, I offered then. Or if I just pop out to check on progress or sheer curiosity, offer then. Some tradesmen just aren't bothered, but one would guzzle them back and even be knocking and asking if it had been a couple of hours. Seemed a bit much tbh.

They're in the garden. I'm not giving them free access to the kitchen (No direct access) or leaving my kettle in the garden.

Why? As long it is not raining. Or, as an alternative, there is plenty of cheap kettle being sold for under £15.

I just cede control of the kettle and put out the tea bags, sugar and spoons. As long as a wet spoon doesn't go into the sugar, those privileges remain open for the duration.

Kettle will be on when they get there, and I will offer a brew each morning. Probably with a pack of biscuits opened onto a plate. Throughout the day, once or twice maybe. I will be working too, so depends on how busy i am. Also, it gives ls me an excuse to see how work is getting on.
