Friday Night Live (on Saturday evenings) at the Rec Center. Confusing as all get out. Later renamed to Saturday Night Plano. Run by Martha and Bill Doggett. Play a game of basketball or how about "peg" or "wall ball" in one of the racquet ball courts. Arts and crafts in the room with pizza and drinks. Ren and Stimpy and Rugrats on the large screen projection TV next to the hottest teen foosball game in town. After that, you could dial 1800 numbers on the pay phones (1-800-444-SEXY...how do I remember this stuff??). After that you could stick your head in the MASSIVE speakers by the DJ table, set off stink bombs in the men's shower, slam yourself into the mats on the wall behind the basketball goals, or slow dance with that cute girl in the halter top. Be sure to get her number so you could call her when you got home. It was peak 90s and it was glorious.
Oh, and then Thunderbird Roller Rink on Saturday nights 7:30-11.
And if you are really old, you'll remmber Kids Night Out in Plano that had a DJ, all you can play video games, some weird plywood structure you could play inside, and a big wheel track. It was off Parker Rd in a shopping center I think.

Yep definitely remember. I am 43 now and remember it like it was yesterday. I would go play bball and get all sweaty w my dudes then go slow dance w girls on the other side. Had my first kiss there in 4th grade while slow dancing to "Diamonds and Pearls" by Prince. Was a great time. They def should bring that back. I now have a 14 yr old and a 9 yr old and they would love it.

Didn't it used to be called "Friday Night Live" even though it was on a Saturday ? It was at the rec center and I remember lots of pizza slices and mountain dew with 90s music of course..we are talking 91,92,

Correct...it was Friday Night Live for a few years before they (rightly) renamed it Saturday Night Plano.
