2010 Mercury Milan (same as 2.5L Ford fusion) as my primary, 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ 2.4L 4x4 as my secondary toy. Would never suggest a jeep wrangler as a primary especially an old one
Mint, with the exception of 244k miles and no carpeting. Fully stock 2WD 5 speed. It's a cruising dream. Has the top off more than it has it on. Is my actual daily driver as long as the weather allows.
Primary is 2019 Audi S5, my secondary is an 83 Pininfarina Azzurra (basically a fiat 2000 spider), I ride a suzuki Vstrom 1000, my wife has a 2009 Toyota Yaris, and we have an old RV.
Primary: Lucid Air GT
Secondary: Chevy SS Sedan (supercharged, 6-Speed)
Tertiary: Chevy Bolt (for winter)
Quaternary: Chevy Colorado ZR2 (wife’s normal car but mine if the Bolt won’t cut it in the snow)
Primary: 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia (Mine) 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport (Wife)
Secondaries: 2013 Subaru BRZ, 1986 Porsche 944
This is the lowest amount of cars I’ve owned by atleast 2 in the last 10-ish years. My son is 2 and I’ve sold my motorcycle, S-10, and VW Jetta since then. 😢
2015 Volvo V60 T6 R-Design and 2006 Mazda MX5
Then, for this past winter, a 2002 Lincoln Continental, a cheap beater to keep the Miata out of the salt.
My 2018 Huracan is my only car. The wife has a 2014 Focus ST and a 2024 Jetta GLI. The Huracan is a point a to point a car. The other two are the one's that get driven and it depends on which one is clean or which one has gas. Except for road trips then it's the Jetta, it is newer and gets better MPG than the ST.
92 Buick Riviera, 00 chevy s10. Recently the slave cylinder gave out on the chevy then the exhaust fell apart on the Buick. So now I daily a 24 Mazda3 hatchback until I can piece the other 2 back together
2021 Kia Niro EV Daily
2008 FJ Cruiser for camping and heavy snow
2011 F150 Work Truck for towing/hauling
On the bench
1990 Mazda Miata for fun
2008 Saab 9-5 Sportcombi for spirited Cross-country road trips
2023 Toyota Hilux Invincible, 2016 Renault Kangoo Maxi, 2010 Renault Wind & 1989 Mercedes 300CE (C124)
It seems a bit excessive, but it is really one car for every opportunity.
17 Golf, '78 Datsun 280z.
It would be the other way around but I can't seem to find all the wiring shorts, so I can't take the Z anywhere I actually need to be.
I have three cars and three bikes
so far the 1978 JCPenney Swinger and the new to me 2024 Honda Trail125 have been the primaries, oddly enough, with the 1977 Puch Maxi being a WIP. my 2010 Mini is unsurprisingly blown and my 1991 Civic skipped timing. my 1995 Civic is the secondary in the event that none of my bikes are running (a rare event since I’ve acquired the Trail125) or the weather is exceptionally poor.
Primary/commuting: 1994 ford probe gt (~29mpg, ~340k miles)
Backup/bad weather/desert activities: 2007 jeep commander 4.7L 4x4. Can get to 99% of southwest US, as long as there is gas not too far, lol
06 sv650n daily if there's not ice on the ground >10 g37s 6mt if I don't feel like putting on shoes > 65 tbird for moving furniture or construction materials
2014 gmc 3500 duramax - daily and tow vehicle
2010 cobalt ss - “race car”. first car I bought myself, has since been built to 500whp
1989 k1500- off-road toy. Finishing up a Dana 60 3 link swap
2000 Camaro ss- winter beater/ woods rig LS swap donor. Was a gift from my best friend after it was totaled by a tree falling on it but still very driveable.
2010 legacy gt as my fun car, 2012 Jetta wagon TDI as my daily/bad weather car. Counter intuitive to have the fwd car as bad weather, but i care much less about it if something happens in the snow/whatever
I took jsw across country last month and chased the snow storm from Bend, OR to the Midwest. It honestly didn’t do too bad. There was only one sketchy time trying to get over a small hill from a stop. My friend has one with A/T tires and has zero issues anywhere.
Primary is a 2012 VW Passat TDI SEL I've owned since 2015. Fantastic car, put 120k miles on it and plan for another 5+ years hopefully.
Other is a modified 1999 Corvette making 1k HP. 100% street car.
We have a Sienna and a Golf GTI. We don’t do the traditional his/her cars- instead you take what you feel like. Then we have a well loved 2000 BMW Z3 for nice weather fun driving.
Primary-1984 Vw Doka. RHD with a TDI swap
Secondary- 1987 Porsche 944 with a stroked 383 LT1
Project- 1984 Vw vanagon westfalia TDI swapped.
Yes, I am a vintage German car mechanic by trade.
2008 Audi A4 Quattro 3.2 Cabriolet, 2016 Corvette, 1995 RX-7, 1998 Miata, and a 1962 Corvette basket case. And the wife’s Buick Enclave Avenir. I need a bigger garage.
Daily is a '22 Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel. Second most driven vehicle is my supercharged '05 Jeep TJ. Also have an '04 Ram SRT-10 and '91 Celica All-Trac. The All-Trac does not run at the moment, needs an TVIS intake gasket.
The wife's daily is a Kia Stinger GT, don't recall the year. She also has an '04 Forester XT 5 speed, currently parked in need of a head gasket (as is tradition)
My truck is my primary. My hatchback is my secondary. If I were smart, I’d daily the hatchback but I really hate it. I keep it for security because I feel safer owning two running vehicles.
Subaru BRZ for summer. Older Honda Accord for winter (and carrying mountain to forest) The summer/winter car system actually works pretty well and doesn't cost that much more. Most wear-and-tear is winter.
'99 Yukon: winter primary, camp/hauling vehicle. (replacing with '24 maverick hopefully soon)
'91 BMW 325i ls3 swap: shares daily duties with olds in the spring, summer, fall.
'72 Oldsmobile Cutlass: cruiser, shares driving duties with bmw in spring, summer, fall.
