Error 404

Hi everyone. First time posting. Was hoping y'all can point me in the right direction. I have an error 404 when trying to connect to outlook. The company i work for uses O365. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled office. I went to the website login.microsoft.com And i cannot connect teams and outlook. The server is working for everyone else except that one user. Troubleshooting Networks is probably my weakness. Can you guys provide me with some guidance? I went online to youtube and forums and cant find anything that resolved this problem. Thanks. Im also open to more education if you guys can recommend some websites or certs.

1 user? Have them backup the stuff they need, blow away user profile and retry

I found the solution see at the very bottom for what i did it was something in internet option from control panel

Delete the user profile or reimage the whole computer? That was my last option was hopung i could save some time and not do that lol

I would start with just the user profile, only takes a few minutes and depending what remote management you use a simple script using the WMI interface you don’t even need to remote in or be on-site to do a clean and proper removal

Log in with another user profile before deleting current user profile and recreating. If another user profile doesn't work, then most likely it is the computer at that point.

Ill keep you all updated on this as soon as i log in and test and try out blowing up the user profile or the machine itself.

Do you get an error with desktop apps and/or with web apps like owa, online teams as well? Also check if the pc has proxy turned on, if so turn it off and try again

Outlook website works and im having them use that meanwhile i figure out why the app wont work or teams. No proxy is turned on.

Could be profile issue as well. Log in with another account I.e local admin and see if outlook works. If it does, reboot machine, sign in as admin, rename user folder to .old open registry and find profilelist, rename user profilelist to .old. Sign in with that user, see if outlook and teams work now. If it does, copy files over from .old user folder

Quick update The user worked from home today. The last thing i did the day before was delete the mail profile and try to rebuild it but that did not work. So since she worked from home and the last time she had this issue she said it started working again at home. I had her connect to the work vpn. Opened up outlook and just named the new mailbox something else ie outlook10 etc and it connected no issues and started downloading her mail. Im wondering if next time she is onsite if this will be an issue or work a bit and to resolve i just pop a hotspot on and have her open the vpn and connect and resolve it. Hope this leaves better clues for everyone.

Hey guys, so for everyone wondering about this, im not sure which one fixed it, but i found the solution Control panel--> internet options--> advanced--> restore advance settings --> apply and then restart After the restart i found this solution online Control panel--> internet options-->connections--> lan settings --> enable automatically detect settings. Once i did that, i launched outlook and no longer got the 404 error.
