Inboard brakes are kind of cool but I don't really see the point? The argument could be made about unsprung weight and therefore ride, but the suspension doesn't seem to be particularly designed for additional travel up or down.
The exposed roll cage is also a really weird and kind of ugly choice, to my eyes. Better than nothing but in all honesty it doesn't keep the lines enough to be better than just adding the fastback body panels.
But then if I were building a rally mustang I'd be tempted to grab some portals for it, so I'm weird.
The reason for the inboard brakes is likely just that it's a heidts center section. They're just using a precooked diff casing which comes with brake mounts.
> As Carlo puts it: “The Mustang is THE muscle car. It’s the first, it’s the most meaningful, and at the end of the day, it’s the number one muscle car. We don't care what Vin Diesel has to say.”

It's not yet. These are all renders, but the firm has plans to build one prototype, and then follow it up with a small production run if the demand is there. (Its other restomods typically have runs of two dozen cars or so.)
