While not a lesbian, I had a female best friend in high school that weren't my type at all and vice versa. So like, lust never got in the way of our friendship on both sides. She was the best wingman I could ask for. I had a massive crush on this emo girl with big titties and my friend threw a girls night out, invited the girl and spent the entire night hyping me up. It worked and she felt "honored" that a guy with my (fake) reputation was asking her out on a date. On my end, my friend didn't need help getting guys cause she was a woman, so you know, automatically gets guys interested, so my job was to vet the guys for her. The CDC's study was about lifelong domestic abuse of people of various sexual orientations, not about domestic abuse within specific configurations of relationship. The statistic says not that lesbian relationships have the highest rates of domestic violence. It says that *people in lesbian relationships* have the highest rate of domestic violence at *some point in their lifetime*. When you've got 2 women in a relationship, and consider that many lesbians stay closeted for far longer then men and date men, there's a greater chance that both of them has experienced domestic violence at some point in their lifetime, than some other configuration of genders. Additionally, men significantly under report rape from both men and women.
