What old adverts do you remember word for word?

For some reason old adverts stuck in my mind (much more than modern ones). We bought some Night Nurse tablets the other day for my wife's cold and on seeing them I immediately said: Relieves tickly cough, sore throat, runny nose, headache, shivers and so aids restful sleep. All in one night nurse, the all in one night time cold remedy from Beechams. The wife looked at me like I was a moron (not for the first time) and instead of being impressed she simply said "and you can't even remember to put the bins out" Anyone else out there got some?

There's a Scottish speeding awareness video where a few different things happen. One guy puts his foot down, and his mate spills his water and says, "och, ya prat." Then either he or someone else says, "he's always got to be a boy racer. I, personally, can lice without it." He then puts his foot down again in another clip, this time with his wife and kid in the back, and she says,"Watch his neck, " to which he replies,"Sorry." There's also the hebs advert about responsible drinking. There's a guy practising asking a girl, Sarah, out that night at a party. Then it cuts to that night, and he's smashed at the party, approaches Sarah, and says, "Ah really fancy you, so how 'bout it."

Do you remember one with a summer barbecue montage where everyone's enjoying themselves while "In The Summertime" plays.. One family or group leaves after saying their goodbyes, smiles abound, then while the music continues to play, a camera slowly moves to reveal a devastating accident scene with motionless, bloody corpses in a ripped open car, hazards blinking. It was on my copy of Ghostbusters, recorded off Scottish TV in 1987. On the same tape, there was also a McEwans lager advert with the audio track of a Special Brew advert, so it looked like the McEwan's cavalier was extolling the virtues of Special Brew. It was a terrible day when my parents threw out all the VHS tapes!

The milky bar kid is strong and tough and only the best is good enough. Looking at that now. The ad came out in 1979. I was a 90's baby. The only explanation are the old vhs's my nana used to have that I would watch while at her house. They were considered old back then and so the dates do kinda line up.

For some reason I've had the ad for Heinz 'homestyle' soup stuck in my head for days. It was many years ago, 80's sometime maybe? I don't know because I didn't have a telly for a lot of thr 80's. I know Heinz 'homestyle' soup doesn't seem to exist any more. It was in the form of a young man who had just started working as a lighthouse keeper (that tells you how old it is) singing a letter to his mother thanking her for the soup she sent. It showed the younger man and a couple of older men sitting round eating soup. 'Hello Mother, how is father? I'm missing home, (he is rather \[this is the mother\]), thanks for sending, Heinz New Homestyle, The Potato and Leek makes your son smile'. Its a terrible song and I can't help wondering what the young man is doing now, maybe he got a new job in cyber.
