Solar panel. It’s supposed to provide battery charge to reduce APU or accessory usage when the motor is off as far as I understand it. I have one on my truck but I don’t think it does any good. Just some bullshit environmental thing they can say they did.

That's a really small solar panel. I bet it goes to a recovery GPS unit. They can disconnect the battery but it'll still send out the vehicle location.

They are also used to float the battery. Modern trucks have a lot of passive battery drains when parked. A little panel helps keep your batteries healthy when it's not being driven for a while.
