Have pun names of businesses in the UK gone to far?

There's currently an ad on tv cutting together different punny business names you know the the sort of thing Bark to the Future, The Codfather, Jason's Donnervan. I just walked past a hair colourist named "Assisted Dyeing". It just felt a bit close to the mark, maybe I'm just going soft?

Nope. I will be more likely to remember the business, and more likely to use them if I have nothing else to base my choice on. At least I know they have a sense of humour.

Would it depend on the business? Are their professions, funeral directors for example, that should steer clear or is it fair game for anyone?

Fair game. There's always going to be someone offended by it. A family friend once refused to use Co-Op Funeral Care because their sign was purple, and she thought it should be black our of respect. 🙄
