2024 Lincoln Nautilus Review

A large display that spans the entire dashboard, 24-way massaging front seats, a scent diffuser, 28-speaker Revel audio system, standard Blue Cruise, etc. I honestly can't think of anything they didn't include, but I know people are going to still scoff at that $52k+ price tag for a Lincoln (and you are going to see people mention it being built in China too). At least there's a hybrid powertrain that every review I've read seems to enjoy and it's an extra $1500 option.

I priced out the X5 and it was closer to $87k, plus a few thousand for the maintenance plan. BMW does not offer the $7,500 credit on leases of their plugin hybrid.

Yea. This is why I kinda hate American car companies sometimes…the options list. Even if you buy a platinum you think it must include about everything, right? No. It is why I like, as an example Acura or Genesis. The packages are the packages. Get an RDX technology package? That’s what you get. That’s the price. I priced out a 2025 explorer and by the time I got done clicking add ons it was brutal, nautilus, no difference.

Honestly it’s a lot of leg room. Front seat legroom is 43.5 inches while rear seat legroom is 43.1 inches. Even something larger like a Grand Highlander only has 41.7 inches of front seat legroom with 39.5 inches of 2nd row legroom. So you’re talking about almost 4 inches more leg room than a Grand Highlander in the second row.

what next gen carplay? it has carplay, but the OS is android automotive (which is not the same as android auto) you shouldnt really need to mirror the phone....

I love my wife’s ‘21 Lincoln Aviator. 0-60 is incredibly fast for a 3 row. As much tech as I want and It’s actually pleasant to drive. They kinda screwed up the front end with the 2024 Lincoln models.

I think again it’s going to come down to whether you view Lincoln as worthy of the price tag or not. There are those that will argue a Lexus RX starts at $48k and a Volvo XC60 starts at $46k, so this starting at $52k is just too much. But, on the flip side, you may have people argue that this comes with more standard features than those other models do (I think the KBB review said the base model comes with that big dashboard screen and heated/ventilated seats as standard but I could be wrong). And then you may have people bring up the fact that it’s made in China so it theoretically should be cheaper to produce. I personally think it would’ve been great if they could have tried to target closer to that $45k-$46k starting price. Or at least maybe targeted a lower top end range, because I think it definitely is a lot to ask $80k for a top end Black Label.

Maybe it's the name recognition. In my mind a Cadillac is a higher luxury tier than Lexus, and I always thought Lincoln was competing in that arena. Reliability concerns aside.

Well if that’s the case then it still would be priced higher than a Cadillac. The XT5 is a $44k car and an XT6 is a $48k car.

Yeah, I think it's the standard features on it. The XT5 is smaller, put heated and ventilated seats on it, and AWD like the base model of the Cadillac and you'll blow past the 52k even without of the other base features.

There was never an upper limit. People buy as much car as they want. Many just need an appliance and buy very used engines. Some people need a personality and they buy one off the lot. There are lots of stereotypes we can name in between.

I was at the dealer looking at a sante fe FWD with literally nothing and that sucker was 35 out the door. I don't consider tesla to be "feature -rich" but spec a prius with "similar" features like heated seats and the ADAS and you've hit 40k in something the size of a compact car.

Sure, it does before delivery and taxes that's fair. I've never seen one in person for that, and my local dealers are pretty good about not gouging. Nautilus's mentioned for 52 is a luxury suv, and even the basic one has much better sound deadening, basic features than anything you'll find on on a standard marque. I just really don't think the car is that expensive for what it is. Most cars are expensive these days, and especially ones in the luxury arena. I don't think asking for softex plastic seats is a big ask on a car that's more than 30 and you usually have to go to 40 to start getting stuff like this.
