The single action is decent, the double is disapointing compared to my buddies colt python (new production) and my other buddies s&w 66 no dash. The low bore axis is an absolute game changer though. It totally makes up for the meh trigger.
the hammer is just kinda nubby and not really spurred like a traditional revolver. it's serrated enough that it's grippy, but definitely not as comfortable and I probably wouldn't ever one hand cock it
Not only that, but the hammer doesn't stay back. So unless you are used to looking for the tiny little red nub that pops up, you can't tell if it is cocked or not. Would NOT advise for new shooters
I have several revolvers from S&W, Ruger, Colt of varying vintages.
My Rhino sees the least amount of range time because of the long, heavy trigger. The bottom-cylinder firing aspect and the cool look aren't enough to make up for the trigger.
Grip is super comfy for the straight back recoil that doesn't flip the muzzle...
Unless you're used to shooting semi-autos thumbs forward and forget the fireball comes out of the bottom of the cylinder. Shoot crossed thumbs (as best you can) and wear gloves the first few times. Fire hot.
The grip and what not really isn’t that bad. It’s a pretty solid gun, nice revolver. I do wish I found a good set of replacement grips though, it just needs a little more texture and less smooth grip.
I have one. The grip isn’t bad, but they can be better. Believe it or not the UK actually makes some outstanding replacement [grips.](https://formriflestocks.co.uk/handgun-grips/). It took like a month for me to get mine.
i rented this exact model recently because i was sick of lusting over them and wanted to hate it.
it's fucking awesome.
the grip would be comfier with a tiny bit more length, and Hogue even makes an extended competition grip that looks great too.
Nickel is cool, Nebula's the meme, but I want a case hardened finish, even though it'll have to be faked since the frame's aluminum. It would look so stonking good though.
I did 9mm with no regerts other than I need to buy the 9mm lever loader for clips.
Figured if I was going to go weird with one of these, might as well go all the way.
