My Grandfather still has one of those in the back of his safe, that he got from an old hunting buddy. I live in Luxembourg though and not in the US, they are actually quite common here among old hunters and farmers

While discussing odd rounds with one of my buddies, we both thought that it was odd that 9mm Flobert never caught on states-side and kinda just faded into obscurity. We deduced that there was two factors that might have caused it to not catch on. These were the fact that .22s we're already so prevalent here, and that most Americans wouldn't want to have to buy a another gun just to do one simple task.

I had a very small bolt action single shot in this caliber. This was in England in the 70’s. Ammunition had to be special ordered by my local gun store even then. It was great to carry around, but only good for very small vermin at 10 yards or so. Great memories!

10 yards is 9.14 meters

Why the fuck would they make it 9.14 and not just 10, stupid Europeans can't count to 10.

Don't know why you got downvoted for an obvious joke. Not super funny but I smiled

They are still sold here in the EU, both shot and bullet versions.

I need the bullet version, it’s impossible to find in the US
