UPDATE POST! Jill was saved from euthanasia at the shelter! She is adoptable ❣️

For those who were following the Jill the dog thread earlier this week— she was down to the last few hours before she was going to be put down and I was able to snag her and bring her home in the meantime! She is absolutely amazing and as of right now she literally has no flaws! Definitely still puppyish. Doesn’t bark. Does run around destroying everything in sight. Haven’t seen the slightest bit of aggression. Did not move when I left the room. Not showing food or leash aggression. Good with dogs/cats/kids/people. She doesn’t know how to use stairs but we’re working on it !! Here are some pics of JillyBean JillPickle!! The Dallas Animal Shelter is like 40 dogs over capacity if you’re willing to foster, go by and grab a sweet baby!

Seems like a high energy dog, if you have a treadmill train her to run on it in the mornings so she doesn't go destroying stuff to let out her extra energy. You'll be surprised that some dogs can run for miles and a walk around the block may not be enough for some. You'll have to figure out how much time she needs to exercise at a good speed to get her energy levels under control

She’s really good! She knows when it’s time to chill and she is not rambunctious and she does not destroy things! She sleeps free and does great!

I adopted a dog from watagua animal shelter and she looks just like this one. She has the spots on the nose, and one ear is spotted and one is brownish. My coworker recently told me she saw a fb post for found pup that looked just like mine. I’m guessing someone’s breeding and releasing the non prime ones.

Someone from here on Reddit, submitted an application yesterday and hopefully they can get her Thursday! These babies in the shelter aren’t even being given a real chance. I just knew she was SO adoptable. But they don’t have the time or volunteers to get these dogs in front of people and they were going to put her down after only THREE WEEKS. I am so damn grateful for the couple who is going to adopt her. All it took was me picking her up, posting on here a few updates and describing her and boom! It just takes teamwork sometimes to get these babies adopted. Only a few days in my care, and with the amazing generosity of the people of Reddit all I’ve had to do was buy her a crate and one bag of food! Jillybean has been gifted a bed and toys and food and just some things to help her get settled and hopefully offset some expenses for her new family right off the bat. I am so so grateful! Even if you can just get them from the shelter and work on a foster care for them, it’s worth it because they don’t have the space and aren’t being given long. Thank you everyone!
