Anon gets a female coworker

Family big in construction, mostly roofing and drywall but also some framing. I don't find this to be the case on proper work sites. No one should be lifting more than 20-30 lbs repetitively and most women can do that just fine. Now kinda shitty work sites without proper equipment or planning (ex. oh fuck we unloaded this pallet here but need it there and don't have fork lift or pallet jack or even a fucking wheel barrow) can pose a bigger problem to smaller people in general. My dad's observation is that a lot of men start out faster and slow down dramatically over the day (leading to the stereotypical tradie circle when they need a break) while women maintain a pretty even pace throughout the day. He also appreciates that women will also plan their whole day out and not have to, like, go down the ladder for the silicon and shit like that. Says he'd have majority women on his crew but they tend to leave early in career to go to college/become nurses or teachers etc. General construction also sucks for benefits/maternity a lot since you're contractors.
