Testing fake Glocks in Dara Adam Khel, Pakistan

The craftsmanship seen in Dara Adam Khel has always been impressive to me.
awsome2323@reddit
Is there a possible way these guys get these things in the U.S. now I’m all paranoid on buying a Glock obviously most are pretty easy to tell but I’m sure there’s a few out there that will last as a genuine Glock
MarryYouInMinecraft@reddit
KE Arms, "It take us hundreds of thousands of dollars and months of R&D to create an injection molding die."
Random dude in Pakistan, "Hold my Chai..."
fern_the_redditor@reddit
Might be 3d printed. Idk tho
almighty_ruler@reddit
I've seen a few videos and from what I gather most of these are essentially handmade with steel and no computer controlled machines. They cast a lof the parts, if not all, themselves and finish by hand. Pretty impressive work
Electronic-Mix-6879@reddit
Pretty impressive work but shitty quality and zero accuracy. I bought one directly from this sort of factory years ago. It was a rust magnet.
Equal_Door7368@reddit
where did U buy it from bro
Electronic-Mix-6879@reddit
Peshawar, Pakistan
Party-Ad8832@reddit
There was a guy on Fosscad where they display 3D printed guns and he made an entire Glock 19 himself with shitty mini machines.
So definitely doable. Glock slide and barrel are quite simple mechanically and have quite loose tolerances with only a couple of critical dimensions. Most parts just rattle around when not under tension.
vuther_316@reddit
Very consistent reliability (or lack therof)
smokeyser@reddit
He tests them this way because they consistently explode on the 4th shot.
Party-Ad8832@reddit
It takes about 6000 atm to burst a Glock barrel when made from tempered 4140. 9x19 operates at max 2400atm.
smokeyser@reddit
That isn't a glock.
Party-Ad8832@reddit
Yes it is, if it has a similar mechanical design.
smokeyser@reddit
That's like saying all high tops are Jordans. Glock is a company. If it isn't made by Glock, it isn't a Glock.
JCuc@reddit
Because they're real Glocks.
thelegendofcarrottop@reddit
Going into battery, firing three consecutive rounds without issue, and having the slide lock back is better than half the 1911s I’ve owned and most of the P80s I’ve fired!
Nuttyvet@reddit
Fact: They REALLY don’t care about flagging each other in the Middle East.
atomicnugget202@reddit
And people are struggle on r/polymer80 to get ours to cycle at least once.
SucculentChineseBoy@reddit
That is ALL I could think about.
How many posts I’ve seen of Jamal and bubba showing their new beautiful 80% frame just absolutely MANGLED, like they milled it with their own fucking teeth, saying “iS tHiS gOoD tO Go gUyS??? I cAnT gEt the sLiDe To rAcK hurrrr durrrr”
Especially recently with the law drama making frames EXTINCT, seen so many beautiful frames wasted during a time where there are finite amounts available.
That’s why I switched to printing my own ;) MUCH better.
atomicnugget202@reddit
It's me. I'm one of those frame 😂😂.
But they are extremely creative over there. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a metal cast model of the P80 jigs and made the frame cast iron from that or used some plastic that will harden to some tolerable spec to fire. Just a wild guess though.
The jig pretty much gives them the correct mounting holes all they need after that are LPKs, rails, and Uppers which I'm sure they can source or at least make the upper frames if they can make the frame.
SucculentChineseBoy@reddit
I don’t think we are giving this guy enough credit towards his craftsmanship. This sort of quality and consistency is very impressive! All racked with no issue, went into battery, ejected, and locked the slide, no mags fell out etc etc no sear slips
I’m suuuuuuper impressed.
Danmarmir@reddit
Do they have a Glock logo? If not their just Clones lol
SucculentChineseBoy@reddit
I can create a perfect Glock 19 replica with the Glock logo. What’s your point?
Electronic-Mix-6879@reddit
Yes they do have glock logo and marking of all the original Glock.
EP762x39@reddit (OP)
The only Glock frames I’ve seen without logos are Polymer80 and other domestically produced 80% frames. I honestly don’t think these guys are worried about the authenticity of company trademarks.
Here’s several examples from the same user
JCuc@reddit
Those are all real glocks from what I can see. The metallic coating is correct and the frames are dead on accurate with crisp edges. Firearm frame molding injection is a very complex task and takes a lot of chemistry + money to do. I doubt these guys are making fake Glock clones of that quality.
556_FMJs@reddit
The logos and texts are all wrong. Very obvious fakes.
EP762x39@reddit (OP)
I’m sure they would be honored to see that you said so! They are all Glock copies produced within Pakistan. Wait until you see their fake M4s and MP5s!
MarryYouInMinecraft@reddit
They are not. The telltale is the markings on the slides. Glock USA and Austria both stamp their markings while these are clearly engraved like airsoft Glocks.
Also the barrel crowning all around is much less rounded than factory Glocks. You can even see land and groove rifling in the 19gen4 barrel.

Glopy(tm): the Glock Copy from Dara.
joesyxpac@reddit
Wasn’t that the title?
EP762x39@reddit (OP)
I debated using the word “counterfeit” instead, but now I’m glad I didn’t.
Danmarmir@reddit
It says "Fake" as if they were selling them as Original Glocks
EP762x39@reddit (OP)
Did you see my reply to your comment?
parabox1@reddit
They do have glock logos on them
Bruh_bruh_bruh_bruhh@reddit
Make sure to scratch it before you sell it
secondsbest@reddit
There were four rounds in each magazine.
jaylee42910@reddit
You can tell its a copy because it only fires 3 shots
Aggie74-DP@reddit
Guns seem to either have stiff recoil springs or are dry or the tolerances are slightly off. Who knows. If they are fake there could be some metallurgy differences with some of the parts. Probably will break-in ok.
Wonder where the parts were manufactured?
Party-Ad8832@reddit
It is definitely possible to make Glocks with simple manual machining tools. It is actually designed from scratch to be as simple and easily manufacturable as possible and has loose tolerances.
There was a guy in Fosscad 3D printing community who made an entire Glock 19 himself using commercial bulk steel stock and cheap Chinese mini machines. Barrel was DIY drilled and reamed and button rifled, and slide was milled using jigs and normal machine tooling with a custom finishing broach for the breech. It was apparently tested with two CIP 30% overpressure rounds without issues. He also made the striker and locking block himself. The gun looked quite professionally made. One might find pictures floating around of it, he first made a prototype from mild steel to test out the waters and then made the actual 4140 version. The frame was 3D printed carbon fiber nylon.
I don't doubt a second Pakistanis can make these guns as well in dedicated factories as it is apparently legal there too, so they can get funding and do not have to hide. Regarding durability, basic 4140 steel made Glock barrel will have a burst pressure of almost 6000 atm while 9x19 operates at 2400 max CIP limit. Of course, if they make then from inferior materials or try to cast them, there will be issues.
velocires@reddit
Runs better than the DD H9 lmao
2MGR@reddit
So they bought the design but didn't bother fixing it before rereleasing it?
Rooster-illusion11@reddit
DD said they re-engineered the pistol so much that only 1 part is the same as the Hudson H9. Apparently they created a whole new set of problems 😕 🙄
Tasty_Read201@reddit
Did dd muck up their new pistol?
velocires@reddit
Oh my god yes. I've seen so many vids of people having malfunctions on the first mag "right outta the box".
Tasty_Read201@reddit
Yikes.
Antonw194200@reddit
What caliber are they? It's clearly not normal 9x19 being fired.
curiouspoptart@reddit
Perhaps 7.62x25? It’s still quite popular in the region
mithbroster@reddit
Highly doubt it. Maybe .380 or 9mm Makarov. Recoil looks very mild.
Party-Ad8832@reddit
Recoil is very mild on semi-auto 9x19 pistols because it is distributed due to action.
TacTurtle@reddit
:/
kinda want
Darkknight1536@reddit
Thought I'd only see a glock 19x chambered in 7.52×25 in cursedgunimages
WiseDirt@reddit
That dude gives zero fucks about his hearing
ilovedogs-2@reddit
What!?
Show-stoppa@reddit
Or flagging the F’ out of camera guy 😬
beepsandleaks@reddit
I bet he set those guns up and loaded each mag. He knew the condition of the weapons 100%
Wildweasel61@reddit
One had a round in it if my eyes didn't decieve me. Racks a presumably live shell out and fires one less than all the others.
Show-stoppa@reddit
You’re not wrong but still bad practice imo

9mm isn't very loud
WiseDirt@reddit
Not compared to some other rounds maybe. It's still plenty loud enough to cause permanent irreversible hearing damage with unprotected exposure, tho.
VerticalLamb@reddit
It’s 159 db, are you crazy

Nah, just deaf

Yup and those walls are definitely bouncing that sound back hard.

Ok is it me or is he racking the pistols in a weird way like ive seen people rack it from the front part of the slide but tbis just looks weird.
EP762x39@reddit (OP)
Definitely something weird about it, a mechanical kind of movement.

10gaugetantrum@reddit
Are these the Gloppies that are prone to breakage in like 200 rounds?
EP762x39@reddit (OP)
I’ve never seen any of these copies posted by anybody but the individuals who are selling them out of Dara, and from what I hear they don’t sell to outsiders.
I would love to know more of the product quality and journey they take after creation and sale.
Electronic-Mix-6879@reddit
I got one that was bought back in 2017 but it was copy of Turkish pistol in full steel frame. Product quality is not good specifically it is not recommended by polymer frame pistols made in these areas as they are prone to break soon. In addition to that they are usually not accurate and reliable, and get rusty. My weapon got the rust right after I fired 100 rounds during one of my range trip.
These are usually bought by people who just keep them at home for security purpose or just for the sake of keeping a good looking weapon and not really practice with these guns. I never carried that weapon with one chamber as they are not drop safe.
Regular shooters always go for reliable imported weapon that cost a fortune in Pakistan.
10gaugetantrum@reddit
O ok. I have seen posts of Glock copies with "made in USA" on them as well as colt and S&W symbols. All 3 on the same gun. people in the comments said they were made from blank guns and were prone to breaking quickly and even injuring the shooter. I was wondering if these were the same.
whiskey1041@reddit
Fake glocks is a thing?
work_CAD@reddit
if it can be counterfeited, it will
CountryBoyCanSurvive@reddit
People want to ban guns, meanwhile, dudes in flip flops with dirt floor shops can make them no sweat.
Uvogin1111@reddit
It's a subculture in the Philippines. They're known as Paltiks, and make a living forging illegal firearms using nothing but bare manual tools like files and hammers.
Jackers83@reddit
Yes, I saw that video a couple years ago. It was a very interesting video.
smokeyser@reddit
Maybe some sweat. Probably no AC.
Gaddster09@reddit
Probably came from Afghanistan
MountainTitan@reddit
No GD&T and CAD software. Purely craftsmanship.
MRMD123456@reddit
You fire 3 shots then after that this illegally converted blank firing gun will explode
Bollingers-deep@reddit
I have a feeling they self destroy on the 4th round
PatMcRotch210@reddit
Doesn't he know there's no open toed shoes allowed at the range?? Jeeze

I recall a video from several years ago where Pakis were building MP5 clones with files and hammers, while barefoot.

Glenny0020@reddit
Anyone else bothered by the way he racks them?
SurviveAdaptWin@reddit
What else are front slide serrations for? :p
gravityfrog@reddit
Hollywood press checks only
Duke8181@reddit
Yes.
Glenny0020@reddit
It’s not the grabbing the front that bothers me so much as the putting his hand in front of the gun. Every. Single. Time.
IGnuGnat@reddit
I thought I was watching for that, but somehow I perceived that he was putting it closely but not in front. I watched it again very carefully and now I'm uncomfortable
BurnAfterEating420@reddit
Except why I hate seeing cocking serrations
It's just an invitation to shoot yourself in the hand
