The thing that makes me wonder if this is totally legitimate is that you can tell by the presence of marine layer (the low clouds) that it was probably taken in May or June but that football field is lit up.

Track and field was a spring sport at my high school. Is that the same in California?

That’s possible, although I don’t remember meets ever taking place under lights here.

You know it's not because the bridge actually looks like a bridge and no some weird land based abomination

Except there aren't cars driving ON the water.

Not cars, but boats people actually live on in Coronado.

I wish msfs had this much detail

It's from Alaska's in house marketing department. It is a simulator. They aren't out flying formation with passenger flights to get PR photos. And look at the lense flare on the beacon. Obviously not a real photo.

First time I’ve seen a plane with winglets like that. Looks super futuristic

It definitely is.

I have almost 1000 hrs on flight sim, no sim has this much detail and you can see the graininess from the camera.

I have almost 10,000 hours in real jets. And... 1. A 121 carrier wouldn't be transiting a VFR corridor 1. The lense flare on the beacon is a dead giveaway

Being pedantic today I see. They operated the flight Part 91, no pax on board. Sure, this might technically be 500 feet up from the corridor and in the Bravo, but it's the same path and anyone who flies in the SAN Bravo (like me) will know what I am talking about. But It sure looks like the right height to be in the corridor. Either way, this is a real shot. They used a Phenom as a camera chase plane to shoot it.

Look up air to air photography and photo editing. It’s a promo shot, not a scheduled flight. no sim has this level of water detail and that’s the main giveaway.

It's a render. It's amazing that people actually think this is a real photo.
View on Reddit #21725722

Adjutant_Reflex_@reddit

It might be a render/composite image but it’s not a “flight sim.”
View on Reddit #21725573

Semantics. It's not a real image, so it's worthy of /r/flightsim
View on Reddit #21725672

Adjutant_Reflex_@reddit

It’s not “semantics.” If you’re going to take shots at people about how you know it’s fake and then big dick your “experience” you better get it right.

I am right, though. You have no proof otherwise.
